Emmajean McCarthy Obituary
Emmajean Marie McCarthy passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 in New Orleans, LA surrounded by the people she loved most. She was 60 years of age. She was born in New Orleans, LA and she was a lifelong resident of St. Bernard Parish.
She enjoyed her work, playing her odds at the casino and bingo, but most of all she loved being with her friends and family in the kitchen, cooking and making memories during the holiday season. Emmajean was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, and grandmother. She filled the lives of so many with love and compassion. She’ll be forever in our hearts.
Daughter of Adrienne McCarthy and the late Edward Donald “Pooch” McCarthy. Devoted mother of Buck Stewart, Sonny McCarthy, and Lex McCarthy. Mother-in-law of Kristen Stewart. Sister of Edward McCarthy, Jr. and the late Mary Catherine “Kathy” McCarthy. Sister-in-law of Sherrie McCarthy. Grandmother of Jacob Campo, Molly Stewart, Madaline McCarthy, Tyson Assavedo, and Carter McCarthy. She is also survived and fondly remembered by many relatives, cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at Celebration Church, 7500 W. Judge Perez Dr., Arabi, LA 70032. Visitation begins at 9:00 AM, and Prayers begin at 10:00 AM. Please bring your fondest memories to share.
