Edwin McShane Obituary

Edwin J. McShane passed away on Friday, April 8, 2022 after a long battle with COPD. He was a graduate of Alcee Fortier High School in New Orleans, LA and the University of Southwest Louisiana (USL) in Lafayette, LA. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force Reserve for over 36 years. He is survived by his wife of 55 years Janice McCormick McShane, his daughter Remi M. Coleman and son-in-law Tab J. Coleman of Slidell, LA, his son Sean P. McShane of Henderson, NV. Ed also leaves behind the apple of his eye, his beloved granddaughter Reese M. Coleman as well as many nieces and nephews. Ed was born in New Orleans in 1941. He is preceded in death by his parents John W. McShane, Sr. and Shirley Riviere McShane, his brother John W. McShane, Jr. of Metairie, LA, and his sister Kathleen M. Keller of Houston, TX.

Cremation was entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, and in keeping with Ed’s wishes there will be no Memorial Service at this time. A Celebration of Life will be held on a later date.
