Edward Johnson Sr. Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

With profound sadness we announce the passing of Edward “Paw-Paw” Johnson, Sr., our loving and devoted father, grandfather, and friend to all whose lives he touched. He departed this life on December 19, 2021 in Franklin, LA at the age of 79. He was born to the late Robert Lee Johnson, Sr. and Lillie Mae Drake in Woodhaven, LA, whom are deceased but never forgotten. He worked many years as a truck driver for Griffin Industries. He was an active member of this congregation in which he devoted his time to spiritual development. He especially enjoyed singing, his grandchildren, and fishing. He leaves behind his children to cherish his memories; Greg Nelson, Edward Johnson, Jr. (Saborer), and daughter Sabrina J. Brown (Reginald, Sr.), Gloria, Melvin, Marilyn, Timothy, and countless grandchildren, and great grandchildren. To all surviving siblings and spouses we acknowledge your presence and ask for your continued prayers for each other. He is preceded in death by his loving parents, 7 brothers, and 2 sisters. A Funeral Service was held on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at First True Love Church, Ponchatoula, LA. Visitation began at 8:00 AM, and Service began at 10:00 AM. Interment will take place at Mt.
