Donnis “Donnie” E. Koehn, Sr., age 72 passed away on Sunday, October 17, 2021 at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in New Orleans. He was born in Cleveland, OH, and was a lifelong resident of St. Bernard Parish. He is the son of the late Donnie L. Koehn and Bernice Stowers. Donnis graduated from Chalmette High School in 1967. Following raduation he served in the Vietnam war with the United States Marine Corps. Donnis leaves behind his beautiful wife Bernice A. Koehn of 52 years, and four children Donnis E. Koehn, Jr. (Kristen), Christopher J. Koehn (Missee), Michelle L. Johnson (Bernard), Melody B. Morales (Danny), and also leaves behind seven grandchildren Amanda, Brandi, Shelbie, Joseph, Vivian, Sophie Mae, Cameryn, and four great grandchildren Jackson, Amelia, Bella, and Raz. Donnis will be missed by many lived ones. At Donnie’s request there will be no Funeral or Memorial Service. A Celebration of Life will be held on a later date. Family and friends will be notified.
