Dianne Lea Hester

Dianne Lea Hester passed away on Thursday, November 19, 2020, at Ochsner Medical Center in Slidell, LA at the age of 62. We are eternally grateful to know she is with our Heavenly Father. She was born in 1958 in Tinley Park, IL and lived in Slidell, LA. She was Born Again at the age of 15 years old when she was invited to church by a childhood friend. She loved the Lord God with all her being. Loving wife of the late Dan Hester. Daughter of Donald M. Darrough and the late Nancy Eddings. Stepdaughter of Barbara Darrough. She served as a nurse for 35 years and loved helping and taking care of others. She always tried to put others first before her own needs. Dianne was an aspiring writer and loved reading novels. She met her best friend, Sharon Lambert, at Pearl Hickory Baptist Church in Pearl River, Louisiana and became life-long friends. Sharon and her family invited Dianne to spend the rest of her life with their family in their home where she assisted daily, helping Sharon and her husband Vic take care of three adopted severely handicapped children. Dianne is survived by her father Donald M. Darrough, and stepmother Barbara Darrough, brother Edward Ray Darrough of Wisconsin, half-brother Dan and his wife Deborah of Wyoming, Mark and his wife April of Wyoming, half-sisters Teresa and her husband Glen Hansen, and Donna and her husband Roy Fisher as well as her friends Sharon Lambert, A G Crowe and Linda Crowe, and her nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her mother Nancy and her twin sister Deborah Lynn Darrough,and her husband Dan Hester. This is not good-bye to Dianne.
