David deBouchel Obituary

David Michael deBouchel, 60, a resident of Humble/Porter, TX for 27 years, originally from Chalmette, LA passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Monday, July 25, 2022. Son of the late Earl Joseph deBouchel, Jr. and Yvonne Pomes deBouchel. He is survived by his sisters Gail Blackwell (Lee) and Sharon deBouchel (Wendy). He is preceded in death by his siblings Earlyn Alphonso, Earl R. deBouchel, Wane deBouchel, and Karen Favalora. Loved by many nieces and nephews, especially Shantel Favalora, his caretaker, to whom we will be forever grateful for her love and support of her uncle.

The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to David. He loved family, working at McDonalds in Kingwood, TX and in Chalmette, LA, but his favorite pleasures were being a Saints, especially a Drew Brees fan, and a huge Elvis fan.

He loved unconditionally. David’s soul was pure, innocent, and knew not of hatred, racism, or greed. To know David was to intimately know a special child of God and to know and feel God’s love.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend his Funeral Mass on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church, 2320 Paris Road, Chalmette, LA 70043. Visitation begins at 11:00 AM and Mass begins at Noon. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Memorial Gardens, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA 70043.
