Darla Jean Mahan passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at 4:26 in the afternoon at her home in Covington, LA at the age of 59. She was born in Texas and was a life-long resident of Houston. She lived in Covington for the last 6 years. She loved teaching others and giving of herself. Loving spouse of 13 years to Bob E. Mattingly. Devoted mother of Christina Wellman (Dennis) and Brittany D. Mattingly. Sister of Glenn Hickey of South Carolina, Joy Smith of Houston, Texas, Sharron Ray of Houston, Texas, and the late Marvin Hickey. Devoted grandmother of Kristen, Kacie, and Katelynn. Great-grandmother of Graysen, and Hudson. In lieu of flowers, family requests donation be made to funeral expenses memorial fund.
