Craig Arnold "Snooky" Miner entered eternal life on Tuesday night, December 13, 2016, at the age of 68, with his family by his side. He was born on November 27, 1948, to the late Ernest Miner and Kay Bourg in Plattsburgh, NY. After serving three years in the Merchant Marines, he spent most of his life living on the Northshore, with his wife of 35 years, Loretta Miner, and their children. His spirit is carried on through his wife, seven children, eleven grandchildren, and the many friends he made throughout his journey. Snooky was a bail bondsman, mechanic, farmer, carpenter, an entrepreneur, a practical problem-solver, and a real straight shooter. To know him was to love him, as he was "one hell of a man." He will best be remembered for his colorful use of swear words, being a father and teacher to many wayward souls, and his unending love for his wife. He enjoyed rebuilding hotrods and motorcycles in his shop with his boys, thinking of things for other people to do, and cooking enough food to feed an army. Always an entertainer, he could often be found in the kitchen casually singing an old country song while he was busy chopping, stirring, or mixing something for suppertime. Anyone with a healthy appetite and a southern palate was always welcome to his table to enjoy a hot meal and a hearty laugh. He is survived by his sons and daughters: Kirk Martineau, Snooky W. Miner, Loretta "Sissy" DeSpain, John Bell, Cole Miner, Amanda Miner, and Matthew Bruza; his grandchildren: Emily Smith, Michael Miner, Nautica Miner, Nicholas Dupre, Opel Miner, Liam DeSpain, Penelope Miner, Hudson DeSpain, Harley Bruza Jr., Alana Bruza and Aubrey Bruza; and his many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his son Harley Bruza and his brother Ki Landes.
