Clyde Matthew Silve

Clyde Matthew Silve, Sr. went to be with his Savior on Monday, September 27, 2021. A native and lifelong resident of Lacombe, LA, age 83 years. Clyde was a Master Carpenter, having worked for T. L. James Construction Co. and retired from Gibbs Construction Co. A longtime parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lacombe, he is a founding member of the Knights of Columbus Sacred Heart of Jesus Council # 10645. Beloved husband of 43 years to the late Buena Marie Hithe Silve, who passed away in 2018. Son of the late Joseph Givens Silve and Marcellite Ordogne Silve. Loving father of Clyde Matthew Silve, Jr., Jason Silve, Sr. and his wife Vontavia, Heather Renee Silve, and Devin Michael Silve, Sr., all of Lacombe, LA. Devoted grandfather of Jason Jr., Lakeya Janae, Jayshawn, Braylen, Mackenzie, and Devin Michael, Jr. Loving brother of JoAnn (Jerome) Torregano, Elaine Batiste, and Joseph Lester (Lita) Silve. Godfather of Samantha Laurent, Margie Pichon-Heisser, and Adam Pichon. He also leaves to mourn a host of nieces, nephews, dear cousins, and friends. He is preceded in death by his siblings James Allen (Veronica), Robert Anthony, Larry, and Martha. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 28088 Main St., Lacombe, LA, on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at 11:00 AM with Visitation beginning at 9:00 AM. Prayers of the Most Holy Rosary will begin at 10:30 AM, with Interment to immediately follow the Mass at Osey Ordogne Cemetery in Lacombe, LA.
