Charles Cancienne Obituary

Charles E. Cancienne, Jr. “Buddy” passed away at his home in Pearl River, LA on Sunday, April 24, 2022 at the age of 85. He was born in New Orleans, LA and lived in Chalmette for 30 years, and then in Pearl River for the last 12 years.

He was an active member and worked with the Council on Aging for the last 5 years. He loved hunting and fishing.

Loving husband of the late Phyllis Gagliano Cancienne for 60 years. Devoted father of Tammy Cancienne Weiser, Lisa Frame, and the late Charles “Buddy” Cancienne, III. Brother of James Cancienne “Tunnie”, the late Shirley Champagne, and Elaine Nunez. Loving grandfather of 8, Freddie (Tonya), Ryan, Kelly (Seth), Jessi, Madeline, Camille, Jonathan, and the late Brad Weiser, great grandfather of 16 whom he dearly loved.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Catholic Prayer Service on Friday, April 29, 2022 at Serenity Funeral Home, 20419 Highway 36, Covington, LA 70433 at 1:30 PM. Visitation begins at 11:30 AM.
