Charlene Springer Obituary

Charlene Ellen Springer passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2017, the day of her 81st birthday. She was born in Licking County, Ohio, and was a resident of Covington, Louisiana for 30 years. She was the daughter of Frederick and Lucille Bell of Newark, Ohio. Charlene started her nursing career at White Cross Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. She was also an avid quilter and cook. She is survived by her husband, Gilbert Springer of 60 years, and 3 children, Sarah (Saad) Al-Juraid, Bradley (Caprice) Springer and Brian Springer. Her only sibling is David (Debbie) Bell and she has a daughter-in- law, Deborah May. Charlene was the proud grandmother of Sultan, Reem, Mishal, Joshua, Dominic, Emma and Ellie. She was also an aunt to Erin and Nicholas. Charlene was a longtime member of St. Timothy United Methodist Church in Mandeville, Louisiana, where she took part in numerous Bible studies, volunteered and participated in the Women of Hope conferences and was a participant of Cursillo #113.
