Blake Lopez Obituary
On Sunday, June 30, 2019 at 9:18 p.m., Blake Paul Lopez became our hero as he saved the lives of five others through the gift of organ donation. Blake loved and cared for others deeply with his heart of gold. His beautiful spirit lives on in others thanks to his greatest gift.
Blake was very passionate about many things. Among them, his drawings and paintings, his music, cars and most of all his family and the many friends he loved just as if they were family.
God called Blake to come with him and his loved ones who have gone before him. He is now in the loving arms of his grandparents: George Lopez, Arthur Caron, Estelle Caron, MaryAnn Caron, Cecile Lopez, Frank Lopez, Otto Magee, Nurcelia Magee as well as his uncle, Stephen Lopez, Sr., and his brother, Eugene “Yodi” McLeod.
Blake’s passion and love will continue in the lives of his family and loved ones. The greatest treasure in his life is his precious son, Carter-Paul Roche Lopez.
Blake was blessed to have been loved by so many, including his parents; Nicole Lopez, Paul Mitchell, Jonathan Bartholomew and Jill Mitchell.
His grandparents; Ronald Lopez, Leslie Lopez, Billie Lopez, Ercel Bartholomew, Monce Bartholomew, Dennis Fos, and Debbie Fos.
His brothers, Jonathan, Brayden, Landon and Chazz.
His sisters, Destiny, Aubrey and Addley.
His aunts; Amanda, Haley, Angela, Loren, Michelle, Rhonda, Pam, Suzonne, Mary, Gayle, Christine and Kimberly.
His uncles; Rodney, Russell, Michael, Ricky, Stephen, Jr., Brad, Artie, Dennis, Jake, Brian and Eduardo.
His cousins; Rodney and Deanna, Shane and Chelsey, Billie-Ann and Blaine, Katie-Marie, Stephen III, William, Maddie, Mia, Scarlett, Laina, Savannah, Heather, Danielle, Dominique, Marissa, Eliza, JoLynn, Coby, Jake, Matt, Kameron, Dennis Jr., Rory, Ronan and Riley.
His love, Samantha Matlock.
The mother of his son, Raquel Roche.
There is an endless number of people who have touched Blake’s life and who’s lives he has touched. It is impossible to list everyone but you know who you are. Do wonderful things with the love he has left with you, so that he may live on through your actions.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, July 5, 2019, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 2621 Colonial Blvd., Violet, LA, 70092. Family viewing will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Following will be visitation from 10:00 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. with Eulogy and Words of Remembrance at 12:45 p.m. Mass is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family has opened an account at Gulf Coast Bank in Blake’s memory for Carter-Paul’s future.
