Alphonse Eolus "Odie" King Entered into the house of our Lord on April 24, 2018, at age 81 surrounded by his Family at his home in Bush, La. Devoted husband of Doris Holden King for 60 years. Loving Father of Marie King Humphries (Carl), Virginia King Fontcuberta (Bert), Kenneth King and Katherine King. Loving and caring Grandfather of Travis L. Humphries (Erin), Alissa F. Pierce (John), Hope F. Westmoreland (Cody), Wesley A. Humphries (Kelsey). Great �Grandfather of Laurel Westmoreland, Logan Humphries, Olivia Pierce, Conner Westmoreland, Miles Westmoreland and soon expected Katie Humphries. Son of the late Penny W. and Mary Rosanell King. Brother of the late Earl "Pap" King and the late Telitha "Sis" King Spell, Brother-in-Law of Dean King(Pap), Walter Spell(Sis), Pat Taylor, the late Troy Holden, the late Jeanette Holden and the late Gloria Cedotal(Allan). Admired by many nieces and nephews. Life resident of Brushy Fork (Bush), avid hunter, fisherman and farmer who enjoyed to cook, especially for others. Handed down his Love of the outdoors and service to others to his children and grandchildren. Past employee of Prestressed Concrete and self-employed Concrete and Landscaping Contractor who laid not only foundations for swimming pools and buildings but created foundations of love and respect for future generations. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend an evening visitation at Serenity Funeral Home, 20419 Hwy 36, Covington, Thursday, April 26, 2018, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The Funeral Services will take place the next day, Friday, April 27, 2018 at New Zion Baptist Church, 17387 New Zion Church Rd., Covington at 11:00 am with the visitation time at the church on Friday beginning at 9:00 am. Interment immediately following at Maryetta Cemetery, Maryetta Rd., Bush. Arrangements entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, Covington, LA.
