Randall Boasso Obituary

Randall (Bud) Joseph Boasso, Jr. passed away at his home on Friday, January 19, 2018, at the age of 67. He was born in New Orleans, LA, grew up in Arabi and resided in Chalmette, LA. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 47 years Patricia Findorff Boasso and their daughter, Leslie Anne Boasso Cheramie and son-in-law Charles James Cheramie. Bud adored his grandchildren Chase Joseph, Brendan Ray, Davyn Charles, and Ella Patricia Cheramie, who cherished their Pappy. He was also delighted by the blessing of meeting his great grandson Luca Charles Cheramie. Bud is also survived by his loving sisters Deborah Boasso Gendusa (Charlie), Paddy Boasso Thibodeaux (Thomas) and brothers Stanford Boasso, Brad Boasso, and Tharon Boasso, brother-in-laws Raymond Findorff and Patrick Findorff (Terry), and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Randall J. Boasso Sr. and Betty (Herthum) Boasso. He received a degree from Delgado in orthotics and prosthetics. However, he was a jack-of-all-trades and had the ability to fix almost anything and retired as a heavy equipment operator. Bud enjoyed spending time in his workshop, where he mastered the art of woodworking, leather and bladesmithing, and anything else that came to his creative mind, designing and creating the most beautiful and amazing pieces of furniture, wood sculptures, knives, leather/snake/alligator skin belts, gun/knife holsters, purses, bags, cases, jewelry, and many more pieces, which he has left for his family and friends to treasure for a life time. Randall’s family would like to express gratitude to the all family and friends for their prayers and support, Mr. Lenny Dunn for continuing to ease our family’s minds and souls during difficult times for the past 30 years, and Jubilee Foods, Inc.
