Milton “Capt. Les†Leslie Camp passed away at his home in Pearl River on Sunday, October 15, 2017 at the age of 69. He was born in Washington Parish, a lifelong resident of Madisonville and a resident of Pearl River for the last 7 years. Capt. Les was a retired dredge boat captain and worked for over 40 years for Pontchartrain Material and SMI Dredging Company. He loved gambling, playing cards, rolling dice, along with shrimping, fishing and riding in his boat.\r\nBeloved husband to Joan Hunt Camp for 42 years.\r\nDevoted father to Leslie M. Poff and husband Jerry, Sheila D. Schulz and husband Robert, and Lee McCarroll and the late John E. Docherty.\r\nBrother of Adrian Camp and wife Paula, Sidney Camp, Mary Strain and the late George, Emery “Pee-Weeâ€, and Thomas Wesley.\r\nLoving grandfather of Dakodah, Jayde, Adam, Grace, Tony, Joshua, Jacob, Kayla and Cody. Also survived by five great grandchildren, Nicholas, Alyssa, Destanie, Joshua Jr. “Bubbaâ€, Violette and one deceased great grandchild, Ivy Lee.
