Evelyn Theresa Belou

Evelyn Theresa Belou passed away on Tuesday morning, July 10, 2018, in Covington, LA at the age of 79. She was born and lived most of her life in New Orleans. A resident of St. Bernard Parish for 10 years and for the last 12 years she lived in Covington. She loved travelling with her husband and together they visited 48 of the 50 states of America. Evelyn was a Parishioner and Eucharistic Minister with Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Covington. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, John F. “Jack” Belou for almost 62 years. Loving mother of three sons; Kenneth J. Belou and wife Julie A., Michael W. Belou and wife Susan, and David C. Belou. Sister of Linda R. Kuhn and her late husband Gary. Loving Aunt to Kerri, Marcus, and Christine. Loving and devoted grandmother of seven grandchildren; Kortney A. Treuting, Kenneth Belou Jr., Katie M. Kirkwood, Victoria R. Belou, Sarah E. Belou, Zachary D. Belou, and Madison M. Belou. Great grandmother of four; Camille, Adaelia, Mark, and Annie.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, July 12, 2018, at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Covington at 12:00 noon. Visitation at the church from 10:30am until mass begins. Interment immediately following at St. Roch #2 Cemetery, New Orleans. In lieu of flowers, donations preferred to Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Arrangements entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, Covington, LA (985) 875-1131.
