Don Henry Joly, 72, of Abita Springs, Louisiana, passed away at his home May 14, 2018. Lifelong resident of the New Orleans metro area. Served in the U.S. Navy, retired as a New Orleans Police Department Sergeant and Commander of the Public Affairs Division, was a security investigator for Chevon Oil, and a business owner in St. Tammany Parish. Graduate of St. Mary's Dominican College. A member of the Original Northshore Business Network International (BNI) Chapter. Survived by son Dave Joly (Mary Lynn), granddaughter Erin Caldwell (John), niece Brenda Palmer (Jerry), and nephew Chris Joly. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the honoring of a "Life Well Lived" on Thursday, June 7, 2018, 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Covington, 45 Louis Prima Drive, Covington, LA 70433. Arrangements entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, Covington, LA.
