Alvin Baradell Obituary
Alvin Joseph Baradell, Jr. passed away on Saturday morning, February 17, 2018 at Ochsner Hospital in New Orleans, Louisiana at the age of 65. He was born in New Orleans and lived in the area for most of his life, residing in Slidell for the last 30 years. Al was a skilled guitarist. He loved fishing in the marshland. He never missed a Saints or LSU game. Al was a member of the Albert Pike Masonic Lodge.
Al was the loving soul mate of Karen Hall for 24 years. They were constant companions, business partners, and owners of The Great Indoor-Outdoor Floor Store in Slidell.
Devoted father to Brett Zuckerman and Alvin Baradell, Jr. Loving stepfather to Kim Burk, Chris Hall, and Lydia Caballero.
Brother of Linda Zitzmann (Phillip).
Son of Jeanette “Sissy” Baradell and the late Alvin J. Baradell, Sr.
Grandfather to Skylar, Hailey, Zoey, and Atlas. Step grandfather to Austin, Dylan, and Piper.
Nephew of Charles & Lawrence Hinyup, and David Baradell, and the late Cornelius Hinyup, Anna Gurra, Betty Yarnold, and Shirley Pitre.
We wish to express our appreciation to Al’s best friends Steve Kirkland, Mike Young, and Sam Dusty Thom for always being there for him.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a memorial service Saturday, March 10th at 11:00am at St. Mark Evangelical Lutheran Church 1520 Chicksaw Avenue, Metairie, LA 70005.
